When Kayla Miller noticed that her co-worker regularly received jewelry, flowers and other gifts on her birthday and every holiday from her husband, she thought the gesture was sweet. When she learned that her co-worker’s husband had passed away two years prior, however, the sweet gesture deepened to a profound love.
Miller’s co-worker’s late husband arranged for small gifts to be sent to his wife for several years after he passed away. He knew that holidays are the times when she would miss him the most, so he arranged the gifts in order to make those days easier. Her co-worker experienced a real-life version of “P.S. I Love You,” a popular book and movie that details how a late husband arranged for meaningful notes and surprises to be left for his wife after he passed away.
Miller wrote in a post, which has now gone viral on Facebook, how her co-worker’s example of love showed her that true love is real and that each woman deserves to experience it. Though the gifts after his death were meant for only his wife, this husband’s example of true love has brought happiness, tears and hope for many women throughout the world.
