Seconds After This Photo Was Taken, The Bride Was Dialing 911 And Begging Them To Hurry Up

When Lesley Leith’s best friend Charley Norman asked her to be the Matron of Honor at her wedding, Leith was thrilled, but had a secret to reveal. She was pregnant and due 5 days before the wedding.

Norman and Leith were very close, however, since meeting through a mutual friend in college and weren’t about to let the pregnancy get in the way of the big day. Although jokes would be made ahead of time that she would go into labor on the day of the event, when contractions began shortly before the ceremony, it was no laughing matter for her.

The wedding party knew immediately when Leith showed up on the wedding day that something was off. Her doctor said she was in the early stages of labor and gave her the okay to wait to come to the hospital if she wanted to.

Leith chose to tough it out and stand by her friend, staying about an hour and a half until the ceremony was over. At the hospital later that day, she delivered a baby boy. Norman was humbled that her friend had loyally stayed by her side even though she was in pain, but trusted that Leith would do what’s best for her baby and her health. After the festivities were over, Norman and the rest of the bridesmaids visited Leith in the hospital to visit the new addition.
