Rescue Goat Suffers Anxiety and Only Calms Down When In Her Duck Costume

Someone once wrote that, “Animals are the bridge between us and the beauty of all that is natural. They show us what’s missing in our lives, and how to love ourselves more completely and unconditionally. They connect us back to who we are, and to the purpose of why we’re here.”

That is such a true statement, and our story today is a wonderful one about a young rescue goat named Polly. Although God’s creatures are not exactly human beings, they do suffer from health concerns and even psychological problems at times, just like any of us.

In Polly’s situation, she was dealing with anxiety issues that were making her continually stressed out and running around aimlessly. We also might add, that Polly was, unfortunately, blind and very underweight.

Polly’s smart owner found a way to help the adorable rescue goat deal with her challenges and enjoy a full and happy life. Leanne Lauricella, founder of Goats Of Anarchy, says she bought Polly a special and most unique costume to wear that has somehow, miraculously, solved the problem.

Although it might appear a bit odd and even a little hilarious, Polly calms down when she is wearing a duck outfit, one that Leanne purchased at nearby Marshall’s in the children’s department.

The duck costume is super cute and probably a Halloween outfit for a young child. It seems to fit Polly the goat to a tee. It is made with what looks like a shag rug fabric to mimic a duck’s down. It also features a nice zipper to keep the rescue goat warm and cozy. It has a hood and a bright orange felt beak (worn above Polly’s head) and two orange, webbed feet socks for Polly’s two back hooves.

Polly gets all “zen” and chills out when she is adorned in the duck outfit. She probably feels a sense of security, bonding and warmth. Some people might have a good chuckle over this; however, some people enjoy dressing up their dogs, cats and other pets in animal costumes. So, slipping little Polly into a child’s duck costume is not that unusual, and apparently, become a huge success for the rescue goat.
