Report Claims 50 Trump Electors Illegitimately Voted In Electoral College

A bipartisan legal team showed that at least 50 of the Electoral College members who voted for Donald Trump were ineligible to vote. In order for a person to win the presidential election, they have to get at least 270 votes from the Electoral College.

Trump received 306 votes from the Electoral College. The bipartisan legal team showed that 16 out of the 306 Electoral College members did not live in the district that they voted in.

They also found out that 34 of the elected officials were dual office-holders. The bipartisan legal team is asking the congress not to certify those members. However, they have stated that it is up to congress to make the final decision. A person from the legal team stated that they are not going to provide any legal advice. They have encouraged Congress to do their own investigative work.

The Electoral College has only been challenged twice. The first time that it was challenged was in 1877, and the second time that it was challenged was in 2005. In order for the Electoral College to be challenged, at least one House member must file a formal objection and challenge. This challenge has to be signed by both one House member and one senator.
