Dogs of all breeds love doing tricks and various tasks for their owners. Some rollover. Some fetch slippers. Whatever the trick is, it seems to make the dog very happy to impress their owner. Golden retriever Pippa is no different. Each day she loves to fetch the mail for her owners without fail.
For the postman, Martin Studer who delivers mail in Brisbane, Australia, Pippa is one of his favorite stops of the day. She’s always there, ready and waiting to take her owners’ mail.
When no mail came for her owners one day, Studer felt a bit guilty to ruin Pippa’s joy. He decided to come up with a new solution for those mail-less days. He gave Pippa her very own piece of mail to take.
Now whenever there is no mail, the postman writes on a piece of paper “Mail for Pippa,” and he gives it to her as something to carry back to her owners. This simple piece of paper keeps Pippa happy.
Martin Studer shared his fun encounters with this friendly dog on his Facebook. Though it’s a small act, people have since gone head over heels in admiration of this kind mailman improving a golden retriever’s day, one piece of mail at a time.
