Message in a bottle stories are somewhat common today. Beachgoers walking along the sand find bottles with notes inside every so often. However, individuals that discover these bottles often find illegible notes. Few people seal their bottles in a manner that protects the contents from seawater and the elements. A man walking along the coast recently discovered a unique bottle.
At first, the man thought he was looking at trash. A closer inspection revealed a beautiful bottle surrounded by netting. He could see a photo in the bottle in pristine condition, too. This particular bottle was secured with a strong top and required a corkscrew to remove. After pulling the top off, he discovered a piece of paper with a photo and note that explained everything.
A man named Mel from California loved the sea. In fact, his family created this message in a bottle for Mel and threw it into the ocean. The note simply told the story of Mel and his loving wife before urging discoverers to return the note to the ocean. The message encouraged finders to visit his Facebook page and post where the bottle was found. From there, finders were instructed to keep the chain going.
The person that found the bottle this time managed to reapply the top to the bottle with a little ingenuity. He then took a few pictures of the bottle and message before throwing it back to Mel’s favorite place: the sea. For now, it remains to be seen who finds this wonderful message in a bottle next.
