Many people invest a lot of money into their bathroom decor. However, it is possible for you to decorate your bathroom inexpensively by using items that you already have in your home. If you are looking for a do-it-yourself upcycle to try in your own bathroom, then you may want to consider trying one that was created by Shelley and Carson Smith.

Shelley decided that she was going to create her own picture frame molding by using an old picture frame and door knobs. The first thing that Shelley and her husband Carson did was cut the picture frame at 45 degree angles in every corner. Shelley and Carson then used tape and liquid nails to apply them to the wall. They then added the doorknobs.

The picture frame was already looking great, but they wanted to add something to spruce it up. Shelley and Carson decided to apply a vinyl decal to the molding. They decided to use a blue design because it blended nicely with the bathroom. Once they had peeled up the decal, they applied it to the wall. Shelley smoothed out the bumps using a vinyl applicator. However, she says that a credit card or spatula will do the trick. They then peeled off the tape and revealed the gorgeous picture frame molding.
