People Boycott Fast-Food Chain After Workers Refused To Serve Trump Supporter…

The controversy surrounding the presumptive republican presidential nominee seems to be never-ending. It comes as no surprise that some Trump supporters are facing backlash in the wake of his campaign. However, a fast-food chain is probably the last place one would expect his opposers to be so openly opinionated.

Cook Out, a popular fast-food favorite located in the Southern portion of the United states, is in hot water after a group of employees deliberately refused service to a family dressed in Trump apparel. Shannon Riggs and her cousins arrived at the Colonial Heights, Virginia location sporting Trump shirts and hats.

Riggs admits that she expects to receive some push-back on some level when wearing her red “Make America Great Again” hat out in public, but she never dreamed she would hear an employee spout, “Hell no! I’m not serving them,” when attempting to place an order.

Her orders were eventually taken, however, they were never delivered. Ultimately, the money was refunded and the family went on their way empty handed. “Once you witness [discrimination] firsthand, it’s a totally different experience,” said one family member. “I was in a state of shock.”

Many Trump supporters have taken to Twitter and Facebook to express their dissatisfaction with Cook Out. Some are even calling for a boycott of the company. One commenter wrote, “I could overlook your mediocre food but not your discriminatory practices.”
