If you snore or sleep with someone who snores, then you know how frustrating it can be to have to deal with. It is estimated that 25 percent of people snore on a regular basis. Snoring may seem like a harmless noise, but it is often a symptom of sleep apnea. This is a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts as the result of obstructed airflow.
Continuous positive airway pressure, which is known as a CPAP machine, is the standard treatment for sleep apnea. Patients have to put a mask on before they go to sleep, which make using a CPAP machine very inconvenient. The good news is that there is a new device called the Airing. It gives you a more comfortable way to alleviate sleep apnea and snoring.
Airing sends air to the nostrils and prevents the airway from collapsing. Patients will have to wear a device that is made out of silicon rubber. The air is distributed through two nose buds. This device has not been made available to the public yet.
It has already received over one million in funding. Experts believe that this device will only cost around three dollars. They believe that it will be in stores soon.
