A mother had a seemingly normal conversation with a daycare worker. Brittney Nichols is a mother who takes her daughter to daycare like many other mothers on a daily basis. Her daughter was born premature, so there are a few extra things that need to be done for her while she is at the daycare.
Christy Owens is one of the women who cares for the little girl during the day. Nichols saw the woman walking on the sidewalk to church one morning. She happened to wonder why Owens didn’t have a car in a city where transportation was almost a necessity.
Nichols knows that Owens is always a very happy woman while at work. She cares for the children and is like a second mother to many. Nichols talked to the daycare and found out that Owens didn’t have a car.
She knew she wanted to do something to help. Nichols talked to others in the community to get donations. She raised enough money to get a small car for Owens. She also managed to raise enough money for the insurance and a few driving lessons. Owens showed her gratitude in a way that made Nichols grateful that she was able to help someone who cares so much about the safety and joy of other children.
