Military Mom Loses Job After Deployment – But One Day, A Stranger Is Standing In Her Driveway

Kyla Sampsel is a sergeant in the Indiana National Guard. She was deployed to Afghanistan and had to leave behind her son. The sacrifices sergeants like her make are often unappreciated. Kyla not only left behind her son, but she also put her own life at risk.

She lost her job after she came home from Afghanistan. Fortunately, she has been able to take care of herself and her son because her family members and friends have been helping her. This is something that happens to veterans quite often. They return home, lose their job and find themselves struggling to support their families and pay their bills.

Veterans should be able to spend the rest of their lives enjoying their families and relaxing, but unfortunately, that is not always the case. Kyla’s friends and family knew that she was struggling and decided to do something special for her.

Kyla went out with her son one afternoon. While she was out, her family members and friends teamed up with Maytag and Hhgregg. They remodeled Kyla’s kitchen and installed new appliances. Kyla was surprised when she came home to see her loved ones and the updated kitchen. That was not the only surprise she received. Kyla’s family members and friends presented her with a $1,000 check.
