Since Trump’s inauguration a month ago, we are already discovering additional information that shows just how closely tied Trump and his advisers may have been to Russia prior to the election last November. Michael Moore, entirely fed up with Trump after only a month in office, strongly believes it is time for Trump’s resignation or impeachment.
The first of Moore’s outcries occurred after the announcement that Michael Flynn – former National Security Adviser – was resigning after it was discovered that he outright lied to Trump, Mike Pence, and other officials about his contact with intelligence officials from Russia. These hidden communications occurred during the period between Trump’s election and inauguration. In a furious tweet to his millions of followers, Moore insisted that, “Flynn DID NOT make that Russian call on his own. He was INSTRUCTED to do so”. Moore continued his angry rant by demanding that Trump “vacate” office immediately or be impeached.
Moore’s scathing tweets, some even referring to Trump as a “Russian traitor”, continued throughout the day including coverage of news reports that indicate the likelihood of various Trump advisers and officials that are frequently reaching out to Russian contacts.
Following the series of angry tweets, Moore then put together a detailed plan outlining the process of getting rid of Trump through impeachment. His impeachment process begins with a slam to the “weak” and “spineless” Democratic members in Congress that need to stand up against Trump until he is impeached. Next, Moore suggests for Jeff Sessions, Attorney General, to line up a prosecuting team to research these possible “treasonous acts” and insist that Trump swiftly resign. The last portion of Moore’s plan involves designing a legal way to keep Pence from assuming the presidency if Trump is removed from office.
Moore has been especially busy in the months since he correctly predicted that Trump may win the election instead of Hillary Clinton due to his appeal to blue collar workers.
Following Trump’s win, Moore immediately formulated a detailed resistance plan that went viral. In addition to being visibly unhappy with Trump, Moore has not been shy about criticizing Democrats. Although the popular Oscar-winning filmmaker has always been influential, the past few months have brought a notable rise in his notoriety.
