Marine Killed In Action – Now Watch As The Brother Meets His Military Dog…

Twenty-three-year-old Marine Sgt. Joshua Ashley was killed in action four years ago in Afghanistan. He was a member of the military police and a K9 handler for his partner and best friend, military police dog Sirius.

Before he died, he asked his mother Tammie Ashley if she would help take care of Sirius for a while, either until he was settled in his next place or until he finally got home. Unfortunately Sgt. Ashley did not make it to either of those places.

Now, four years after Sgt. Ashley was killed in action, the Ashley family got a new addition to the family- Sirius. He was officially retired from his service in the Marine Corp and shipped off to live with the Ashleys in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Tammie was on-hand to greet Sirius at the Ontario Airport when he arrived.

Tammie said that Sirius is settling into his new home, but that he had the strangest reaction when they first met. He approached her and started smelling around her face, like he was “getting ready to lick it”. She said it was almost like he could sense that she belonged with Josh. Josh’s brother Jordan said that he is also bonding with Sirius and that its nice to have a piece of his brother back home with them.
