Man Pretends To be A Target Customer Service Member And Creates A Hilarious Interaction

We’ve all heard stories of someone pretending to be someone else on the Internet. However, these instances often involve a person pretending to be only one other person. It is rare for someone to pretend to be a large group of people. This is exactly what happened over the Internet recently. A man decided to pretend to be the entire customer service department at the retailer Target. He created an entirely fake Facebook page. Why did he do this? He wanted to get back at angry conservatives.

Target recently bowed to the pressures of political correctness and removed the signs that identify the areas of the store for boys and girls. Target advertised their toy sections will now be “gender neutral.” Mike Melgaard made a Facebook page that closely resembled a real Target customer service page.

Once the angry comments started rolling in, Melgaard starting giving sarcastic comments back to the posters. Naturally, this led to many screen shots from Melgaard that made the world laugh. They called it epic trolling. It also lead to many screen shots from people thinking they were being abused by the real Target. The page was shut down after only 16 hours.

It is unclear if Melgaard will suffer any consequences for his actions. If he had been creating sarcastic replies to people praising Target’s political correctness, it is likely Target would have sued his smirking behind. Since Target apparently isn’t, it looks like people will have one more reason to dislike Target even more. Maybe someone should make a fake page for that approaching storm!
