LeBron James announced he’ll pay for over 1,000 kids to go to college. What an Amazing Act

Lebron James has three Olympic medals and two championship rings. Many people consider him to be the king of the basketball court. He has decided that he wants to give back to students in his hometown. Lebron James recently attended an event at Cedar Point Amusement Park. At the event, he announced that the Lebron James Family Foundation has teamed up with the University of Akron to give away 1,100 full scholarships to students in need.

In order for students to qualify for the scholarship, they must be enrolled in the Akron I Promise Network. James has stated that he hopes he will be able to give away even more scholarships once the Akron I Promise Network grows. The students in the Akron I Promise Network who will enroll in the University of Akron in 2021 will be eligible for a full scholarship.

It is estimated that the scholarships will cost the Lebron James Family Foundation at least $41 million. The Lebron James Family Foundation will work with the University of Akron during the next few years in order to raise the funds for the scholarships.

James stated in a recent interview that he feels compelled to give back to his hometown. He has also stated that his hometown is what helped make him the person that he is today.
