I’ll Never Buy Donuts Again After Seeing This Easy Recipe – WOW!

The process of making donuts and creating snack options has allowed some companies like Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme to become major players in this particular segment of the food industry.

However, an online series entitled The One Pot Chef has attempted to give viewers a way to create similar-type donuts. One specific example is in the creation of oven-baked blueberry donuts, with the entire recipe process shown in a matter of just three minutes by the chef, David Chilcott of Australia.

To begin, one cup of plain all-purpose flour is placed inside a mixing bowl. That’s followed by the addition of one-third of a cup of castor sugar, which is known as a superfine version of that particular spice. It’s specifically formulated for use in making bakery products such as cakes, cookies and donuts.

Added to this is a teaspoon of baking powder, followed by a three-quarters teaspoon of baking or bicarbonate soda. That’s followed by mixing the dry ingredients together.

For the wet ingredients, the process involves using a half cup of lowfat vanilla yogurt. One egg is then added, followed by one teaspoon of vanilla extract, with that group mixed together and then poured on top of the dry ingredients. That combination should be stirred until the two sides are combined.

Once the stirring has finished, 250 grams (or just over one-half pound) of blueberries are then added. All of this should be gently mixed together before then scooping the mix into a donut pan (lightly sprayed with cooking oil) that will make a dozen donuts. Care should be taken to fill the pans only two-thirds of the way so that they aren’t overfilled.

From there, the pan is placed in a preheated oven of 375 degrees for either 10-12 minutes or until they look golden brown. Once that takes place, the donuts should stay untouched for a few minutes before then being transferred onto a wire rack.

One option, depending on the baker, is to sprinkle vanilla sugar onto the donuts while they remain hot. The donuts can then be either eaten while still warm or be put away for a later time.

Once of the reasons that the donuts remain moist is because of the presence of the vanilla yogurt, which has brought about comparisons to muffins. That’s in contrast to many donuts that tend to dry out after a certain period of time.

The video recipe was first posted online in April 2015 and has since received more than 1.9 million views. Chilcott first began making recipe videos in 2007, and has generally released three such videos per week since that time. In 2014, he was forced to step away because of health concerns, but has since resumed the presentation of his videos.
