Not everyone is an animal person. They might happen to be allergic, or afraid from previous bad experiences, or perhaps they just don’t like animals. It’s not a crime, but how do solve that issue when it is your significant other who isn’t a fan of animals, specifically an animal that you have and love.
This was the quandary with a certain gentleman with a dog from the city of Roanoke, Virginia. His girlfriend gave him the ultimatum: “Get rid of the dog or I’m gone.” The boyfriend responded by taking to Craigslist with a hilarious ad. At the top of the ad he posted a picture of his precious pup and below he wrote:
“My girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. So I have to re-home her. She is purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!”
He finishes off with the kicker:
“So…anyone interested in my 30 year old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!”
Obviously, his comparison of his – soon to be ex – girlfriend to a dog made his choice very clear.
