Not many things in a father’s life can be more poignant and meaningful than watching his own daughter take the hand of another in marriage. When Todd Bachman was getting ready to accompany his daughter, Brittany down the aisle of her wedding, he realized one very important thing: her wedding would not be complete without the participation of Todd Cendrosky, her stepfather.
The event’s photographer, immortalized the amazing instant (in these photos)when Todd Bachman halted everything to get the other Todd’s hand. As a pair, they joined Brittany in her aisle walk. Many of the onlookers wept softly as they witnessed the touching moment.
Brittany discussed the event on her Facebook page, writing that still feels very emotional. During the wedding, she actually went up to Bachman to tell him how impressed she was by his self-sacrificing actions. Cendrosky had been a major part of Brittany life growing up and deserved to be walking alongside her. That’s all Bachman had to say.
Bachman’s behavior was an example of good sportsmanship, love and family. Everything a person could ask for at their wedding!
