Dorie Stratton was devastated when her Scottish terrier, Scotty Boy, went blind. He would always bump into walls. When he bumped into the walls, he would sit in the middle of the room and cry.
Dorie knew that this was no way for her furry friend to live. That is why she decided to develop a custom halo for him. The halo is attached to a vest. She got a friend to help her make it.
Dorie says that the halo acts as a white cane. Scotty Boy has changed a lot since he got the halo. He once was afraid to explore the world. Now, he is fearless and free. After seeing the amazing transformation that Scotty Boy underwent, Dorie decided that she wanted to make a difference in the lives of other people. She started a business called Halos For Paws.
It has been four years since Dorie started Halos For Paws. It is now an international business. It has improved the lives of blind animals all over the world. Dorie has admitted that she did not plan on turning Halos For Paws into a business. When she showed the vest to Scotty Boy’s vet, he recommended that she turn it into a business.
