He’d Been Looking For His Brother For Years. You Have To See How Long It Took Facebook To Find Him

Facebook is amazing! Using this outstanding social media site only took 12 hours for Tracey Gray to find the brother that he had only seen one time as a newborn.

Tracey himself had been placed into foster care when he was only two days old and wasn’t adopted into a caring family until he was five. However, he had a troubled adolescence caused in part by depression but eventually went into rehab and began to put his life back together.

His biological parents had both been convicted of murder, but Tracey still wanted to know more about his background, especially longing to get in touch with his younger brother.

Making contact with his biological mother didn’t help because she had lost contact with the adoptive parents. Unfortunately, since his brother was only a minor, the Department of Human Services couldn’t give contact information.

Tracey finally decided to appeal to Facebook readers by posting a picture of himself and a large sign saying in part that he was looking for his long-lost 16-year-old brother, that his brother’s name had originally been Shane Austin Rollek before his adoption, and that his brother supposedly lived in Texas.

The post was shared thousands of times, and in that mere 12 hours, the adoptive mother of his brother got in touch with him, and he and his brother were immediately able to happily speak with each other on the phone!

Gray was ecstatic to post the good news on Facebook on June 23, thanked everyone, and said, “God truly worked a miracle here. I can sleep in peace tonight.”
