Josh Duggar, who is a major character on the TLC show “19 Kids and Counting,” has recently been accused of the molestation of multiple young girls when he was younger. His own father turned him in, due to the terrible nature of these acts, some of which were done on his sisters.
Many people would believe that considering what he did, his punishment was no more than a slap on the wrist. He was simply made to undergo counseling by his parents. This counseling was nothing more than a “very stern talk” from Jim Hutchins, a state trooper and friend of the family.
Duggar has made it very clear that he is against the LGBT community; as such, conservatives love him. There are even recent photographs of him with many prominent conservative individuals, including some of the well-known Presidential candidates for the 2016 election.
Of course, they have nothing to do with his past actions. However, it does cause one to raise an eyebrow that they apparently did not look into his past before associating with him, having pictures taken with him, and allowing him to make a speech at a national conference.
It is predicted that multiple conservative individuals will be trying to publicly distance themselves from Duggar. However, since Duggar claims that he has been “forgiven” by God for what he has done, it is also a possibility that he will have right wing supporters who will rally the troops for him in the coming weeks and months.
