President Barack Obama decided to take some time off and visit Hawaii for the holidays this year.
Many conservatives have made attempts to bash the Presidents decision to take some time off. Despite president Obama having the least amount of vacation days out of the past four presidencies (Cbs news), he is still being depicted as somewhat selfish.
Other conservatives are comparing the activities of President Obama to those of former President Bush. Bush was supposedly more charitable during this time of year. A false article of Bush dressed as Santa delivering toys to children at a hospital was tweeted in an attempt to shame President Barrack Obama’s choice to take a vacation.
Conservatives were even upset that the families of the press assigned to the vacation were require to pay for their own trips to Hawaii. None of the conservatives mention President Obama volunteering for Toys for Tots before the family left for their 17 day vacation.
Whilst volunteer, the President also made a compelling speech concerning gender roles. Conservatives also fail to mention the yearly event in which the President personally visits the marine corps based in Hawaii to thank them at Christmas time. Despite all the scrutiny, President Obama’s polls are up and the economy is booming.
