Washington, D.C. – Carol Everett once operated four very profitable abortion clinics in the great state of Texas. She considered the practice of terminating life to be such a constant stream of revenue she referred to abortion clinics as “cash cows”. The clinics operated with precision scheduling patients in close time slots to allow the physicians performing the abortions to move quickly from one woman to another.
Time was certainly money as the physicians often did not allot sufficient time to clean up the woman before they would move on to their next patient. For her part, Everett would collect money via commissions on every pregnancy terminated and a portion of the other fees assessed to the pregnant women.
She also understood that women experience misgivings about terminating their pregnancies and her staff was instructed on how to address the women so as to avoid or minimize any crisis of conscience they might otherwise experience. In her mind, an abortion clinic can provide a return on investment (ROI) within 30 days of opening. In fact, the sexual education courses taught to children were designed to foster promiscuity which she understood would lead to teen abortions.
She explained that while girls are given pills to prevent pregnancy, they were administered is doses so low that the teens had to take the pill at almost the exact time of day every day for them to be effective. When that wasn’t the case, she stood ready to reap the financial reward of the concomitant abortion. Everett has now converted to Christianity and is a staunch pro-life advocate.
