Find Out What Racist Term The U.S. Army Just Said They Think It’s Acceptable To Use

While many people probably believe that the term “negro” is outdated and rarely used in the modern world it still finds a way to pop up every now and then. The latest instance of the word “negro” popping up comes in the latest version of the U.S. Army regulation, which is meant to govern the responsibilities of command. In one line regarding

African American members of the military the document gave person for leadership to refer to any African American as “Haitian” or “Negro”. This isn’t the first time that the word “negro” has shown up on a government document. Recently, the Census Bureau decided to stop using the word as the found it offensive and outdated.

This also is not the first time that the military has found itself in trouble with a racial issue. Recently several soldiers have demanded changes to the military’s hairstyle regulations due to racial bias.

The military continues to have trouble keeping minority soldiers satisfied and treating them all equally. In response to this latest issue a petition has been started on WhiteHouse.gov to get rid of the hairstyle policy and the use of the word “negro”. Hopefully, this leads to real change in the way policy is treated in the United States military. While most people probably believe that the word “negro” is horrifically outdated it still remains in use in many of the most powerful institutions in the United States occasionally use the word.
