The first stage of the 3-part test is to select how many dots are shown in the shade of purple provided within the confines of a small square. They tell you that this one is easy, and to the common eye, it basically is. There are a total of 13 sporadically placed dots in two different purple hues. When clicking on the image, the answer is revealed, and the incorrectly colored dots are crossed out with an “X.”
The second stage is presented in the same format as the first. A tad bit more difficult than the prior section, 27 randomized dots in four different shades of light and dark pink tones are displayed. Again, you are asked how many dots are shown in the color provided inside of the square. In this case, the color is a bright shade of fuchsia, a popular purplish red hue.
The third and final part of stage 3 exclaims, “This is hard… count carefully!” Here, 36 dots are shown in a variety of blues, along with a few random black dots. In this instance, the color within the square resembles a cobalt blue. This one is tricky.
At the conclusion of the test, you are reminded that less than 4% of people can get all of the answers correct, and asked, “how did you do?” Then, you are invited to challenge your friends. So why not give it a whirl and see if you can pass with flying colors. Are you one of the 4% of the color decoding elite? Good luck and happy counting! Don’t forget to blink.
