When many people think about healthy foods, cookies are typically not the first thing that come to mind.
Fortunately, you can enjoy coconut cookies without feeling guilty about it. Megyn Kelly, who is a licensed esthetician and holistic nutrition expert, has a recipe for coconut cookies. These treats are not only tasty, but they can also boost your metabolism.
In order to make the cookies, you will need 1.5 cups of coconut flakes, 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds, 1/4 cup of honey, one teaspoon of vanilla, 1/8 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, two tablespoons of coconut oil and 1/2 cup of high-quality protein powder.
You will need to preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Blend the sunflower seeds in a blender. Put all of the ingredients together and stir in a bowl. Scoop small portions of the mixture into the tray and put in the oven. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes.
This recipe is filled with fiber, protein and healthy fats. It is also low in carbohydrates, which makes it a great choice for people who have diabetes. Keep in mind that you can use extra coconut flakes instead of sunflower seeds.
