eShe’s Sung This Song A Thousand Times, But When The Crowd Does THIS, She Breaks Down

The singer is typically the one who leaves the audience speechless and wows them. However, the opposite happened during one of Adele’s performances. Adele performed live at the Royal Albert Hall on September 22, 2011. She sang her hit song, “Someone Like You.” It is a song about her own broken relationship and how she eventually came to terms with the fact that it was over.

Even though she had sung the song many times before, something different happened during this performance. At one point during the performance, she asked the audience to join in on singing the song. Hearing the audience sing her song in perfect unison caused Adele to break down in tears.

At the end of the performance, the crowd cheered. Some of the people in the crowd even gave her a standing ovation.

“Someone Like You” is one of Adele’s biggest hits. It topped the charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom. In July 2011, it became the first single in the United Kingdom to sell over one million copies in nearly 10 years. The single also went five times platinum in the United States. “Someone like You” is from Adele’s second album, which is entitled 21.
