Ellen Invites A 60-Year-Old To Dance On Air – When She Turns Around, You Won’t Believe Her Moves

Shirley Clements was a teacher in Canada for 25 years and finally decided to retire. The 60-year-old had a great love for dance and wanted to do something special to mark the end of her teaching days.

She created a spectacular routine to the Bruno Mars song “Uptown Funk” and danced to it with her class. A video of the event was uploaded to the Ellen Show website where it quickly gained popularity.

Once Ellen had watched the impressive video, she contacted Clements and asked her to come on the show and perform the dance in front of a live audience.

The invitation was accepted, and Clements, along with her students, appeared on the show in September 2015. While Clements was not certain the dance could be replicated under so much pressure, she and her group were willing to try.

The performance was a huge success, delighting both Ellens’s studio audience and millions more watching at home. Clements proves that age is truly just a number, and anyone can do anything as long as they set their mind to it. She also sets a wonderful example for young people to always strive for greater potential, which is a lesson that will serve them well throughout life.
