During A Deadly Emergency This 5 Year Old Didn’t Panic And Did THIS To Save Mom’s Life

A five-year-old boy is now being celebrated for his heroic actions after responding to his mother’s medical emergency. Last Monday, Aydhun Byars was in his Aurora, IL apartment when he saw his mother acting strange. In truth, she was going into diabetic shock and, though her eyes were open, she had become unresponsive.

Despite knowing what was going on, Aydhun sensed something was wrong and jumped into action by calling 911. While phoning the police is difficult for any five-year-old, Aydhun had extra difficulty due to his arthropyosis, a condition which impairs the joints and, in his case, made it difficult to dial the phone.

However, he persevered and, once a 911 dispatcher came on the other end of the line, Aydhun described what he saw, saying, “I don’t know what mom is doing, but I need someone’s help. She’s sleeping and she opens her eyes and she never answers me.”

Though Aydhun did not know how to give directions to his apartment, the dispatcher was able to trace his location, and quickly sent the fire department. Once the paramedics arrived on the scene, they treated Aydhun’s mother Tarah in her apartment, meaning a hospital visit wasn’t required.

Tarah has said that her son is her “little superhero.” When asked by his mother what his superpower is, Aydhun responded, “love.”
