Dogs are known for being man’s best friend. They can also be the best friend of a child. Some dogs sense when children and adults are sick or injured, and they won’t leave the person’s side until the person is better. One dog is best friends with James Isaac, a 9-year-old who only wants to spend time with his family.
James has autism, and there are a few issues that have set him back at times when it comes to the activities that he enjoys. He only needs the love of his family and friends in order to get through any of the issues that he has in life. The family dog, a service dog for those who have autism, will never leave his side, either.
Mahe will never let the boy be alone, and is there when something is wrong with the young child. The dog goes with James in the water when the family goes on vacation to the lake, and he goes to the park with James.
Mahe even goes to the hospital with James when he needs treatments for his autism, waiting patiently at the foot of the chair or the bed until James is done.
