Daughter Films Her Mom Caring For Newborn Baby, Notice The Tarp When The Camera Pans Out…

By an incredible stroke of luck, Washington resident and deer love Debbie encountered a white-tailed deer just as she was giving birth to twin fawns. Originally, all she thought was that the beautiful doe was acting rather strange, but she quickly realized that the new mother was actually in the process of delivering twins.

When the video starts, the first fawn has already been born. The doe licks her baby and tries to help it stand on its wobbly, newborn legs. Even though she is giving birth to the second baby, all she does is continue to help the first one.

This touching level of care and affection she has for her baby has already impressed viewers. One commenter on Youtube says to Debbie, “how wonderful is creation and even more wonderful that you could experience it first hand.” Certainly, for Debbie, this will be an experience to treasure!

According to BayNature.org, it is not at all uncommon for does to give birth to twins. In fact, about half of all fawns are twins, due to natural selection. Although a singular fawn has a higher chance of survival, survival rates for fawns are low enough that having twins actually makes a doe more likely to successfully pass on her genes. Therefore, deer who tend to give birth to twins have an evolutionary advantage.

Don’t forget to pass this amazing video on to your friends!
