It takes a lot to impress Simon Cowell, as we all know by now. However, 12-year-old Kadie Lynn managed to do just that. Taking the stage at “America’s Got Talent”, Lynn dutifully answered questions from the judges as her parents stood backstage, nervously waiting.
However, once she belts out the first line of the famous Merle Haggard song “Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star”, it becomes obvious that this young woman can really belt.
As she plays her guitar and continues through the rest of the song, it’s easy to see that she was made for a place in the music industry. Demonstrating skill and poise far beyond her years, Kadie Lynn slays the remaining verses.
With judges Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel looking on in awe, Lynn continues performing with verve and vigor, using the song to show off her impressive vocal range and style.
When the song comes to an end, the audience erupts, showing their support for this young country singer. Indeed, it is rare to find a performer as self-possessed and knowledgeable as Lynn; the fact that she is only 12 years old makes her performance even more dazzling. There’s no doubt that we haven’t seen the last of this talented young performer, who seems to have a sparkling career ahead of her.
