Colin Kaepernick has received a lot of criticism for his decision to kneel during the National Anthem. He stated that the reason he does not stand up for the National Anthem is because he wants to stand up for people of color who have been a victim of police brutality.
Even though he has received criticism, he has inspired many people to stand up for change. Both celebrities and regular people have been touched by Colin’s actions.
There is a lot of evidence to show that people of color are being targeted by officers more than other races. However, there are some people who still deny that there is a problem. These are the same people who have a problem with what Colin is doing. They have also states that what Colin is doing is disrespectful.

Colin addressed the people who have accused of being unpatriotic during a recent press conference. He stated that he does not understand how fighting for liberty and justice for everyone can be considered un-American. Many people believe that what Colin is doing is more American than what his critics are doing. Racism did not end when the Voting Right act was signed. It is still prevalent today.
