Naturally, most assume that brain surgeons, like rocket scientists, are extremely intelligent beings in all matters. However, Dr. Ben Carson, the retired brain surgeon who has recently entered the 2016 presidential race as a Republican candidate, has proved to the world that brain surgeons can be brilliant at surgery but entirely ignorant surrounding issues outside of medicine.
Dr. Carson has made a number of ridiculous statements lately, including theories that being incarcerated in prison can make a person become gay and that climate change is a complete hoax. Really? A man of medicine can’t acknowledge scientific consensus on climate change?… Furthermore, despite his background as a “scientist”, he has expressed skepticism about the process of evolution.
Perhaps the wildest statement Dr. Carson has made is that a Muslim should not be the President of the United States. His logic follows: muslims are where terrorism comes from, terrorism is bad, muslims are all terrorists, no, we cannot have a terrorist for president.
A man who doesn’t believe in evolution, thinks global warming is a hoax, and muslims can’t be President in America shouldn’t be playing brain surgeon. Somebody check his medical license! I have my suspicions…
