President-Elect Donald Trump is facing numerous controversies. From his fraud case over Trump University, allegations of improper use of funds from his non-profit Trump Organization and fears that he will use his office to bully media outlets, he has not become a unifying figure after winning the election. One particularly vicious allegation has dogged him for months: The idea that he is sexually attracted to young, teenage girls. Some recently surfaced comments even suggest that he found daughter Ivanka attractive when she was younger.
The Washington Post, owned by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, has carefully studied President-Elect Trump throughout the election season. However, some of their research has ended up on the cutting room floor. A piece by journalist Richard Cohen originally quoted Trump as saying “Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your own daughter than your wife.” The newspaper refused to talk about how their editing process worked.
Donald Trump’s attraction to young women has been noted in several different areas. A 1992 video shot in Trump Tower and aired on Access Hollywood recorded Trump watching a group of 10-year-old girls and saying “I’ll be dating her in 10 years.” A civil lawsuit accusing him of raping a teenage girl was dropped by the victim after she received numerous law suits.
His dubious relationship with consent has also drawn attention during the election cycle. Numerous women have accused him of unwanted sexual contact over the decades. One notable accuser, Summer Zervos, is a lifelong Republican. His former wife and Ivanka’s mother, Ivana, accused Trump of raping her in the divorce paperwork.
Many outlets have also noted Donald Trump’s inappropriate comments about Ivanka. He has discussed her “very nice figure,” said she has “the best body,” and even joked about wanting to date her on several occasions. He’s even gone on tape to say that the father-daughter duo has sex in common after Ivanka mentioned they share a love of golfing. Who knows what comments he’ll make now that he has the national stage for 4 years.
