A Disabled Vet Was Struggling Through the Parking Lot When She Stopped And Made Him Cry

By all accounts it seems that Miss Morgan Wheeler comes from “good stock” as the saying goes. This isn’t to say that she’s necessarily a child prodigy, or from wealth. Rather, she was raised in a home that respects elders and manifests what Abraham Lincoln aptly termed “malice towards none, and charity towards all”.

On one occasion, she was pulling her car out of the local Wal-Mart parking lot when a wheelchair bound man suddenly appeared as she was passing by. The man, unable to move with much speed, beckoned her to wait for him as he made his way past.

For Ms. Wheeler, there was only one way she could respond. She promptly pulled her car back into the parking slot, turned off the ignition, and got out to help the man. Naturally, he was a bit proud to have a lovely young woman provide him assistance, but she was undeterred. He relented and said she could help him to the door. Lest anyone imagine otherwise, the incident took place a good distance from the front entrance.

Nevertheless, she did not stop at the door. As she wheeled him past the entrance, she spoke of her family, her passions, and interests. She later turned the conversation to be about him.

Ms. Wheeler learned that he was a veteran and a recent widower. This man had lost a leg in the service of the nation, but lacked transportation to the grocery store! She saw to it that he got all the food he needed which she insisted on paying for herself. She then arranged for him to have a taxi ride home. Read her account, and you are sure to be touched.
